My name is Jim Long. I'm a native Texan. Besides computers, my interests include ham radio, aviation, photography, World War II history, sports cars and reading spy novels. I'm a member of several amateur radio clubs, and enjoy talking to other hams from my home and car. My wife and I live in a small country town northeast of Dallas, where our black Lab Jessie has lots of room to chase her ball. We've hosted several foreign exchange students from countries including Bolivia, Brazil, Germany, Japan and Russia. Combining my hobbies of history and aviation, I'm a member of a historical organization called the Commemorative Air Force, a flying museum of World War II airplanes. We put on air shows all over the country.
I'm married to a wonderful lady named Mary, who teaches high school Family and Consumer Sciences. Mary's interests include reading, counted cross-stitching and growing beautiful roses. She's very active in school activities and with Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
